Texas A&M University subscribes to the InCommon Certificate Service, which provides unlimited server and client certificates to higher education institutions. The service provides TLS certificates, which secure communications to and from an Internet host and allow systems to verify the host's identity. Sectigo, a leading commercial provider of certificates, is the certificate authority for the InCommon Certificate Service.

All .edu domains owned by the university are eligible for this service. 

TLS certificates are provided at no charge to the Texas A&M University campus and are funded by the Office of the Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

Go to the Certificates website to request a host certificate.
