Mitch Wittneben serves as the Assistant Vice President for Operations for Texas A&M University Technology Services. Mitch leads the efforts of college end-user services teams to provide unsurpassed technology support to all faculty, researchers, staff, and students.
Prior to this position, Mitch served the Texas A&M College of Engineering and Texas A&M Engineering and Experiment Station for 32 years in multiple technical and leadership roles – most recently as an Associate Director of Information Technology.
During Mitch’s tenure in Engineering, he led end-user services teams and was the technical lead on active directory, ITSM, and Windows/macOS endpoint management teams. Since the early 1990s, Mitch has led and been the primary developer on many application development projects utilized in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and College of Engineering. Mitch’s work with the Engineering Business Services Team provided transformative efficient workflows for order processing and approvals with IMS. As the chief developer on the IMS project, Mitch and his team was one of the first teams on the Texas A&M campus to make use of AWS services with Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, DocumentDB, ElastiCache and Lambda starting in 2014.
Mitch comes to this office with a long successful history of working with students, faculty, staff and researchers in assisting everyone to achieve success in their academic and research endeavors.
