The Division of Information Technology is proud to announce the appointment of William Posey as the new Director of Telecommunications.

Posey most recently worked for The University of Texas Medical Branch. He has a Master of Science in Organizational Learning Technology, Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Leadership all from Texas A&M.

With over 20 years of experience, Posey has an extensive list of accomplishments:

• Spearheading large-scale technology projects with budgets in excess of $10 million, including projects for military, educational and medical institutions, hospitality companies, restaurants, and sports and entertainment facilities.
• Managing all aspects of complex enterprise level endeavors while focusing on strategic planning and change management.
• Delivering  in-depth project vetting processes and managing contract review, system design, and management control processes.
• Obtaining upgrades for systems, telemedicine processes, video conferencing infrastructures, and Internet Protocol Television.
• Standardizing existing projects, creating instructional materials, and presenting training to administrators, faculty, and staff.  

Posey aims to increase Telecommunications customer service satisfaction levels. To this end, he will work to develop an effective and collaborative customer service support team with high levels of work engagement.

“This will ensure Telecommunications services are provided in direct alignment with  Texas A&M strategic priorities,” said Posey. He adds, “we will continue to be an innovative voice in the advancement of telecommunication technology at Texas A&M.”
